Agnieszka Zwiefka

Director, producer

For over 12 years she has cooperated with TVP as an author of various awarded TV programs and short documentary forms. In 2007 she obtained her PhD in new media and ever since worked as a lecturer of television journalism and interactive films at the University of Wroclaw. In 2010 she has established a company Chilli Productions focused on creative documentaries. Author of a documentary film about homeless filmmakers – Albert Cinema (2103). The Queen of Silence (developed during ESoDoc and DOK.Incubator) is her feature-length debut.


Heino Deckert


His company majade is based in Leipzig and Berlin and since 1991 involved in a number of successful collarobations with many renowned directors such as Sergei Loznitsa, Pirjo Honkassalo, Vitalij Manskij,, Viktor Kosskovsky and Thomas Heise. Heino Deckert has produced more than 90 documentary films so far. Tehy have been premiered at renowned international festivals such as Berlinale. Venice, Rotterdam, IDFA, Visions du Reel adn DOK Leipzig.


Iris Pakulla


She has studied cinema and media communication in Barcelona and later a master in creative documentary in Poitiers. During this time she has also been participating in the project “La Caravana Documental” in Peru. In France she has done a couple of documentary films and an animation film for Arte as well as edited sound documentaries for radio and festivals. Since November 2011 she works at majade filmproduktion developing and as a junior producer producing creative documentary films for an international audience.


Aleksander Duraj

Director of photography, assistant director

Graduate of cinematography and photography (Krzysztof Kieslowski Radio and Television Faculty University of Silesia in Katowice) and Documentary Course at Andrzej Wajda Master Film School (Warsaw).
 He cooperated with TVP, TVN, TVP Kultura, TVN Discovery, where he was a cinematographer of a large number of historical coverages and documentaries broadcast in Poland (including „Albert Cinema“, „Beats of Freedom” and „Three Colleagues”). Apart from being published in Polish magazines such as „Polityka”, „Tygodnik Powszechny” and „Gazeta Wyborcza” his photographs were bought to a permanent collection by Kiyosato Photographic Museum in Japan.


Armand Urbaniak

Director of photography

Born 2 September 1970, Zgorzelec. Graduated in Film and Television Studies from the University of Silesia in Katowice, where he studied (1989-1994) under Krzysztof Ptak – Working with Moving Images – and Bogdan Dziworski – Photography. Currently living and working in Warsaw (since 1992). Day-to-day work includes photography, short and longer-length film forms, also TV-production lighting design and direction.


Thomas Ernst


Born in Germany, editor of feature films (Bank ban with academy award winner Vilmos Zsigmond d.o.p.), documentary films (Stream of Love, Overdose, Invisible Strings), Mr Bean Cartoon series and many music videos. Currently he lives in Budapest.


Hansjorg Weissbrich


Awarded editor of many feature films (including Traumland, Night train to Lisbon, Summer Storm, Distant Lights, Requiem) and docuemntaries (Master of Universe, Freedom Bus). In 2010 and 2014 awarded Deutscher Filmpreis in the category „best editor“ .


Jessica de Rooij


Jessica de Rooij is one of the youngest female composers in the international film industry. She is an award winning artist who wrote scores for numerous feature films including Forget me Not, The Girls on the Ocean Floor, Assault on Wallstreet, Darfur, Cast me if You Can, Postal, In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale adn amny more. Her unique style is based upon a diverse educational background in classical, jazz & contemporary music, and an earlier career as performing artist in the European music industry. She currently works between Los Angeles and Berlin.


Maciej Florek


Dancer, choreographer, lecturer of modern dance theatre. The winner of the 1st Polish edition of TV show You Can Dance. Since 2000 he cooperates with the established Capitol Theatre in Wroclaw, Poland (theatre specializing in modern musical / dance productions) as a dancer and author of choreography for such theatical productions as: „The Wizard of Oz“, „The Jungle Book“ and „The Warsaw Uprising“. His dance performances have been staged at many festivals including Przegląd Piosenki Aktorskiej (performing arts festival) but also in public spaces in different European cities including Berlin and Paris. Maciej Florek is also recognized for his work as a choreographer for music videos.
